This project consisted of updating the NSA Mid-South traffic signage to the most current codes and standards based upon local, State, and Federal requirements for traffic signs. This project includes developing a survey of all existing traffic signs, analysis of traffic signs to determine if their location and type meet the requirements of the latest revision of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), removal of all existing traffic signage, and the installation of new traffic signs to meet these latest requirements.
This project also included the creation of a GIS database for traffic sign maintenance.
